  • Top 10 reasons why kids should golf! (see full post)

Recently, The First Tee published a nice little article talking about why kids should play junior golf.  I thought the 10 reasons were fantastic!  I wanted to share with the group!  What's your favorite reason?  Mine has to be spending time outdoors, and family time. http://blog.thefirsttee.org/2013/10/07/10-reasons-young-people-play-golf/
  • Top 10 Public Courses in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area (see full post)

I recently found this article in GolfiCity about the Top 10 golf courses in the DFW area.  Since I'm in the DFW metroplex,  I felt I needed to share!  I have visited several of these, and Jace has played two of them.  What are your favorite courses to play? A special shout out to Dennis Sales, who's course is mentioned in the article.  Texas Star in Euless is where Dennis coaches.  He has a fantastic junior program and some great technology!

  • The Short Game out on Netflix today!! (see full post)

The Short Game Movie The Short Game released on Netflix today Today is the day that The Short Game comes out on Netflix. I don't even have a Netflix account, but I will be opening one this weekend so that my kids and I can watch this! I've been extremely excited to see this film about the competitive junior golf work. I was upset when they weren't showing the full length movie in my area. Have any of you seen it? I'd love to hear you thoughts!
  • Rory Wins!! (see full post)

Rory Wins Australian Open Jace and I are both EXTREMELY excited to see Rory back on top.  Is this a glimpse of good things to come in 2014 for the PGA professional?  I sure hope so!! This has to be a HUGE confidence builder going into the new year.  It wasn't a tournament where he ran away with the lead, but rather fought hard and clawed to get the win.  It all came down to the last hole and a 10' putt.  Way to go Rory from Shop Junior Golf!  Can't wait to see what the new year brings for you!!
  • Welcome to Junior Golf Talk (see full post)

I would like to take a quick second to say Hello!  My name is Jason and my  8  year old son, Jace, has been involved in golf for several years.  In that time, I have learned a little bit about the junior golfing community in Dallas (Texas), and realized there was not a local junior golf blog!  There is not a single place that parents (or kids) can go to learn more about the junior golf world in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.  It is very overwhelming, and there are many choices of coaches, clinics, tournaments and clubs.   Some of...
